ProTrans Celebrates 30 Years of Innovation and Supply Chain Optimization

celebrating 30 years

[Indianapolis, IN] ProTrans International, an award-winning logistics and supply chain management provider, proudly announces its 30th anniversary as a trusted partner to automotive and manufacturing customers around the world. For three decades, ProTrans has managed complex supply chains delivering positive and predictable outcomes for its customers.

ProTrans, established in 1993, was founded on the principle of providing a high-quality experience and optimized transportation. After 30 years, this principle endures while ProTrans continuously evolves to create innovative solutions that allow its customers to capture value throughout their supply chain.

Shortly after its inception, ProTrans expanded into Mexico, focused on building a strategic network of facilities throughout North America and along the US/Mexico border. These long-standing roots in Mexico have enabled ProTrans to become a leading cross-border logistics expert. With unmatched border capabilities and door-to-door service, including intra-Mexico services, ProTrans is positioned as a provider of choice for customers in need of Southbound and Northbound transportation as well as those looking to capitalize on nearshoring in Mexico.

ProTrans’ reach extends overseas to Europe and Asia with its global freight forwarding division, operating under the name TOC Logistics International. Together the ProTrans group’s offerings allow for ideal supply chain management services and versatile capabilities for manufacturers with global suppliers bringing goods to, from, and within North America.

“We are grateful to our customers, employees, and partners for their continuous, unwavering support through the years and recognize the significant milestone our 30th anniversary brings to our company,” said Luis Eraña, CEO at ProTrans. “Looking forward, we are committed to developing innovative solutions that not only help our customers meet their logistics needs but continue to reduce their overall transportation spend in an ever-changing market. We also understand that to do so, it starts internally with a commitment to our employees and the development of our team.”

ProTrans’ commitment to excellence includes ISO and CTPAT certifications and continuous efforts to reduce its carbon footprint throughout its global operations by leveraging its consolidation model. Making good on that pledge, ProTrans continues to invest in sustainable operations, including the recent purchase of 50 new, energy-efficient trucks that were added to the fleet this summer. These trucks were integrated into the asset-based division of the company, Millennial Transport Services, which serves key manufacturing customers in North America.

“The purchase of these trucks is part of a multi-faceted sustainability plan to reduce CO₂ emissions, lower our operational carbon footprint, and provide sustainable supply chain transportation solutions as a dedicated environmental partner to our customers,” explained Daryl Knight, Chief Commercial Officer at ProTrans. “They will reduce carbon emissions on routes where used by 15-25% to help lower the lifetime operating expenses of our fleet and provide additional opportunities to lower our customers’ transportation spend.”

Embarking on the next 30 years, ProTrans expects to continue to grow and expand, drawing on the ingenuity and determination from the last 30 years and the customer-centric mindset of its team today.

“Looking ahead, we will keep offering our customers best-in-class service with conviction to our purpose, trust in one another, and consistently strive to develop innovative solutions,” said Eraña.
