ProTrans Proudly Welcomes New CEO, Luis Erana

Indianapolis, IN, January 17, 2022. ProTrans Holdings is proud to announce today that Luis Eraña has been appointed new CEO of the company. An experienced business leader, Luis has succeeded Gary Cardenas and assumed responsibilities in late 2021. Gary remains as President of ProTrans Holdings.

 

Luis has over 30 years of supply chain and executive experience including defining corporate strategy and leading teams to execute on business roadmaps to deliver exponential growth and profitability. His multi-functional expertise spans supply chain, human resources, operations, and commercial strategy for growing and established organizations. He has served as CEO of Solistica since September 2017, as well as President of Technology and Service Logistics and Global Executive Vice President Technology Business Sector of DHL Supply Chain. As part of these positions, Luis has emphasized strategic growth and development, a strategy he will pursue with ProTrans Holdings.

While at Solistica, Luis has  

  • Architected new organization integrating 5 acquisitions in 3 countries for LATAM’s 3rd-largest logistics provider.
  • Created strategy that integrates asset-owned and light asset solutions/networks to provide consistent service offerings across LATAM in a space that no other global player has penetrated.
  • Articulated new value proposition for global customers to set organization on path to double revenue in 5 years.
  • Improved EBIT by steering implementation of new enterprise resource planning (ERP) platform and creating a global business services organization.

 

Luis graduated from IPADE Business School, an executive management program affiliated with Harvard University’s Masters program, and holds a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Panamericana. He is also a six sigma green belt.

 

Luis has expressed his excitement at the future of  ProTrans Holdings, as well as the opportunity of interacting with the company on a more direct basis. Through town halls and other measures, he hopes to share his vision and future plans for ProTrans Holdings, as well as receive feedback from the ProTrans Holdings team.
