Expect Transit Delays This Week Due to Widespread Winter Weather

We are continuing to monitor the widespread winter weather impacting large portions of the county, from the South into the Northeast. Severe snow, ice, and freezing temperatures, along with power outages, are creating hazardous travel conditions and ongoing disruptions across key transportation corridors. Customers should expect and plan for transit delays throughout the week.

Dangerous conditions and operational impacts are being reported across multiple regions, including:

  • From Texas and Oklahoma through the Tennessee Valley and up into the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast

  • Almost all LTL carriers from Missouri and Indiana through the East Coast are either closed or operating with significant limitations

  • State and local travel warnings remain in effect across Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky

  • Reduced carrier availability and intermittent terminal closures in affected areas

These conditions are impacting both linehaul and pickup/delivery operations, and recovery timelines will vary by location as weather conditions and road access improve. Please note that weather conditions and the power outages are also temporarily reducing access to diesel in certain areas.

Our teams are actively coordinating with carrier partners and monitoring regional conditions to prioritize safety and provide updates as service resumes. Customers with freight moving through impacted areas should plan for extended transit times and consider alternative options for time-sensitive shipments where possible.
